Narciso Rodriguez was a far cry from the quirky style of her character Carrie, the queen of eclecticism: skintight sporty dresses to the knee were followed by beautifully simple, body-skimming princess-line coats, drainpipes and boatneck tops, in a deliciously creamy palette that forewent this season's return to colour: in flesh, steel, ice blue, champagne, and silver, punctuated by black, it was totally chic, clean, with not a whiff of kook.. Only the eveningwear showing a stream of romantic, faintingly gorgeous gowns, with slipper satin ribboned bodices over flowing petals of silk chiffon . every piece showed his brilliant attention to detail, or lack of detail, closing on an elegant satin butterscotch gown.
